Welcome to Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC). To establish electric service*, please choose from one of the following options. Then learn more about being a cooperative member and all of the benefits it brings.

*Service requests are scheduled Monday through Friday before 4:30 only.

Start Service by Phone

Call member care at (405)321-2024, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

  • You must call at least one (1) business day prior to the day you are requesting the power be turned on (under normal circumstances). For same day connections, an additional fee may apply.
  • Have your driver’s license and social security number on hand.
  • A $25 connect fee will be applied to your first bill.
  • You may be asked to pay a deposit based on your credit or OEC payment history (deposit can be paid by cash, check or money order).
  • If we are unable to verify information or are unable to process your payment over the phone, you may be asked to come into the office.

Start Service in Person

Our office is located at 242 24th Avenue NW, Norman, OK. Walk-in office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Bring in your lease or purchase agreement, along with a valid photo id (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and social security card.
  • A $25 connect fee will be applied to your first bill.
  • Pay your deposit, if required (pay by cash, check or money order).
