Barbecue, entertainment, prizes await at the Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Night
If you are a regular attendee of the Annual Meeting, you no doubt experienced two years without the beloved barbecue dinner due to construction at the Lloyd Noble Center. We are happy to bring this popular meal back to the thousands of members who will join us on Aug. 10 for the Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Night.
All members in attendance who register will receive a $20 credit on their primary electric accounts, along with a new OEC cap and pen. And it wouldn't be an Annual Meeting without the largest prize giveaway you've ever seen.
Once again, we're set to give away scores of door prizes, including additional electric credits, and a $1,000 grand prize. Kids will have their own chances to win prizes, as will those who visit the Innovation Expo on the upper concourse.
This year, we will welcome award-winning gospel group Karen Peck and New River to the Annual Meeting stage. A five-time Grammy Award-nominated and six-time Gospel Music Association Dove Award-winning southern gospel group, Karen Peck and New River has had over 18 number one hits.
Joining Karen Peck and New River in the opening spot will be Camille Harp, a local country and folk artist from Norman who has been singing onstage since the age of 4.
Do you ever wonder what OEC is doing to invest in the next generation? You can learn by visiting the Kids' Zone at OEC's Annual Meeting and Member Appreciation Night.
In addition to learning about all the fun ways OEC is teaching a new generation about the cooperative difference, kids who register in the Kids' Zone can win prizes, play games, dress up as a lineman for the photo booth and more!
Kids will also enjoy balloon animals made by Sponji and Bobbin the clowns, face-painting by local cheerleaders and meeting Solar Sam and LED Lucy.
Don't forget, members pursuing higher education can apply for one of three $1,000 Luck of the Draw scholarships! You can also learn about the array of programs we offer to youth of all ages — Get Charged!, Energy Camp, Youth Tour and more.
Be sure to tell us you will be attending by visiting www.okcoop.org/annualmeeting to reserve your tickets. Members without internet access may also call 405-217-6990. Registration will be open 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 at the Lloyd Noble Center on the University of Oklahoma's campus in Norman.
